Amazfit smartwatch gets handful of new features in latest update

Amazfit’s T-Rex 3 smartwatch is receiving a new update. Firmware version 4.8.3.5 has landed several weeks after the last update, version 4.6.5.2, which added a new running metric and navigation-related improvements.
With firmware version 4.8.3.5, Amazfit T-Rex 3 users gain the ability to customize functions such as always-on display for each workout type. You can connect the wearable to an FTMS-compatible rowing machine, allowing the sharing of data like power and distance. Plus, users can now view their current heart rate zone mid-workout.
The T-Rex 3 has new metrics during navigation, like distance remaining and ascent/descent from your current location to the next waypoint. For runners and trail runners, equivalent pace data can be viewed by segment. Plus, the sensitivity of turn reminders for route navigation has been improved, as has the accuracy of the algorithm used to calculate VO2 Max. The complete change log was shared by a user in the 4PDA forum.
The firmware version 4.8.3.5 release is rolling out in phases to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. from $277.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to install the software via the Zepp app.
