Amazfit releases new premium smartwatch with 3,000 nit AMOLED display and up to 20 days battery life

Amazfit has now released its first Cheetah 2 series smartwatch globally. Arriving after a spate of recent leaks, the Cheetah 2 Pro contains a 1.32-inch display with a 48 mm case size. Despite being a 48 mm smartwatch, the Cheetah 2 Pro supports relatively narrow 20 mm straps.
The new Cheetah maintains an AMOLED display too, albeit one that peaks at 3,000 nits with a 466 x 466-pixel native resolution and 353 PPI pixel density. Also, Amazfit has included a 540 mAh battery that it claims will last up to 29 hours with GPS enabled, 7 days in smartwatch mode and 20 days with 'moderate activity'.
Additionally, the Cheetah 2 Pro contains an in-house 5PD PPG heart rate sensor, an Airoha Technology AG3353 GNSS module, a single speaker and a digital microphone. Also, the new 46 g smartwatch boasts 5 ATM waterproofing, sapphire glass to protect its display and a built-in LED flashlight like the Garmin Forerunner 970 or Venu 4.
The Cheetah 2 Pro has reached the Eurozone for slightly less than a recent leak suggested. While it was suggested that the smartwatch would retail for €459, Amazfit has decided to price its new release at €449 including taxes and $449 in the US.
Still, this pricing makes the Cheetah 2 Pro 50% more expensive than the outgoing Cheetah Pro when it launched in mid-2023. Amazfit's older Pr-branded smartwatch has since dropped in price, too (curr. $179.99 on Amazon). Please see the company's website for more details about the Cheetah 2 Pro.
