Huawei Watch Fit 5/5 Pro leak in full ahead of launch

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 series was introduced in May last year and they were quite similar, in design, to the Apple Watch Ultra (buy Watch Ultra Series 3 on Amazon) series. The company is now looking to refresh the lineup with the Watch Fit 5 and Fit 5 Pro, once again following in the footsteps of Apple’s design language. A new leak hints at the design, specifications, as well as pricing for the two models, ahead of the official launch.

Huawei Watch Fit 5 leaked specifications

The Watch Fit 5 is said to feature a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with 480x408 resolution which gives it a pixel density of 347 ppi. It will be capable of getting quite bright at up to 2,500 nits for 80% of the screen, which is protected by Li-AL-Silicon glass. This variant will have a fully aluminum case and weigh 27.5 grams.

Both the Watch Fit 5 and Fit 5 Pro are said to come with 471 mAh batteries. They can last up to 10 days and up to seven days with typical use. With the always-on display, they will last for up to four days. Both models are also said to be IP6X water and dust resistant. In terms of sensors, they are said to bring TruSense technology with accelerometers and gravity sensors, heart rate sensor, body temperature sensor, magnetometer, barometer, and light sensor.

The Watch Fit 5 Pro has a more premium build with an aluminum main frame and a titanium outer frame. It will be protected by a sapphire glass screen cover as well. The display is said to be 1.92 inches but with the same resolution, so a bit lower on the ppi scale. However, it will get brighter at 3,500 nits. For connectivity, the Watch Fit 5 Pro is expected to come with Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and GPS. Along with its IP6X rating, the Pro variant will also be rated for immersion in up to 40 meters of water. The Pro model has a few extra features as well including a depth sensor and an ECG function.

As per the Winfuture report, the Watch Fit 5 will come in black, white, silver/green, and purple colors. It will cost €199 (around $235). The Pro variant is said to be offered in black, white, and orange colors costing €299 (around $353). These prices are slightly higher than that of their predecessors. The report doesn’t mention a release date but seeing as how the previous generation was launched in May, the new iterations are not far from being unveiled.
