Motorola Edge 70 Pro to be launched soon with 6,500 mAh battery and three 50 MP cameras

Motorola is showing the Edge 70 Pro in advance on a teaser website in the Indian online store Flipkart, before the mid-range smartphone is officially unveiled on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The Edge 70 Pro looks similar to the cheaper Motorola Edge 70 ($599 on Amazon), but is slightly thicker.
This is probably not least due to the fact that the Motorola Edge 70 Pro has a much larger 6,500 mAh battery, which can be charged with up to 90 watts using the USB-C charger supplied. Motorola advertises a battery life of two days, but as usual, this is likely to depend heavily on usage. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro can already be seen on the teaser website in the colors Pantone Lily White with marble texture, Pantone Tea (green) and Pantone Titan (blue).
The smartphone is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 8500, a new 4 nm ARM chip that has eight ARM Cortex-A725 performance cores, one of which achieves boost clock frequencies of up to 3.4 GHz, three cores reach 3.2 GHz and the remaining four cores function as efficiency cores with lower clock rates of 2.2 GHz. The processor is cooled by a vapor chamber and combined with up to 12 GB of RAM.
The 6.8-inch display uses an AMOLED panel with a peak HDR brightness of 5,200 nits and a frame rate of 144 Hz. Motorola has installed a 50 megapixel selfie camera, a 50 MP main camera with Sony LYT-710 sensor and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The waterproof mid-range smartphone comes with Android 16 and receives at least three major Android updates and five years of security patches.
