New ultra-premium smartphone released internationally with big launch discounts

Vivo has now launched the X300 Ultra internationally after presenting the device last month in China. An alternative to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra (curr. $1,299 on Amazon), the Vivo X300 Ultra has also got ahead of the Find X9 Ultra that Oppo will be unveiling globally on April 21.
In short, all the hardware from Vivo's Chinese launch remains unchanged. Hence, the X300 Ultra lands globally with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 6,600 mAh battery with support for 40 W wireless and 100 W wired charging and the following camera hardware:
- 200 MP primary, Sony LYT-901, f/1.85 aperture, 35 mm lens, OIS
- 200 MP telephoto, ISOCELL HP0, f/2.67 aperture, 3.7x optical (85 mm), OIS
- 50 MP ultra-wide-angle, 14 mm lens, Sony LYT-818, f/2.0 aperture, OIS
- 50 MP front-facing, f/2.45 aperture
Vivo's 400 mm telephoto extender has made its way out of China too, but not its 200 mm counterpart. For reference, Vivo promises 5 years of OS upgrades from Android 16. Also, it claims that it will keep the X300 Ultra updated with new security patches for seven years.
For context, the X300 Ultra starts at CNY 6,999 (~$1,025) in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. However, the handset's price rises to CNY 8,999 (~$1,320) when configured with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. With that in mind, Vivo has priced the X300 Ultra globally at €1,999 (~$2,359) with the latter memory configuration.
In recognition of this, Vivo is offering a Pro Video Rig Kit, 1 year's worth of screen protection and a €150 voucher when trading in a device for those who pre-order the X300 Ultra before April 23. Additionally, the company includes 3-year device and 5-year battery warranties plus 50% off its Photography Set, Tote Bag and 100 W Fast Charger accessories.
