Onn 4K Pro (2026): Refreshed Google TV streaming device quietly debuts with higher pricing and sparse upgrades

It was rumored for months that Walmart had a new "flagship" Google TV streaming device on the way, designed to replace the Onn 4K Pro. This box now appears to have been released silently, with a user on Reddit purchasing one.
As shared by /u/gera815gggg on the Onn Streaming subreddit, the refreshed Onn 4K Pro was bought with their location set to Ventura, California. Availability remains iffy, but that's typical, and we expect local Walmart stores across the US to begin selling the new Onn 4K Pro over the next few weeks.
The device itself is a less intriguing affair. The refreshed Onn 4K Pro was expected to arrive with a number of upgrades over the 2024 version, but that looks to not be the case. The new box does get a thorough redesign, however, trading in the square shape of the older model for an almost elliptical one. It also ditches the Amlogic S905X4 for the more powerful S905X5M that powers the Onn 4K Plus, while introducing Gemini and Matter support, and adopting a USB-C charging port.
Other items on the spec sheet remain mostly unchanged. The Onn 4K Pro (2026) sports 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, like on the 2024 model. Ditto a 100 Mbps Ethernet port, and what appears to be the same format support. Interestingly, however, word on the grapevine claims the refreshed box actually gets a USB port downgrade, from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0. All of that comes with a price hike, too: the new Onn 4K Pro will set buyers back $59.88, while the older model cost $44.73 before it was phased out.
