As reported last week, the initial Android 14 rollout for Walmart's Onn 4K and Onn 4K Pro boxes was something of a mess, with multiple owners ending up with bricked devices after installing the update. The rollout was temporarily halted, but a new update is now finally seeding to those devices.
As reported on Reddit, Walmart's Onn boxes are finally receiving a revised Android 14 build. In addition to the aforementioned Onn 4K and Onn 4K Pro, the Onn Stick is also getting this OTA. On the Onn 4K Pro, the update carries the build number "URO1.250103.029.C1" and weighs in at 0.91 GB.
Interestingly, this build is available to all users of those devices, including those who already installed the first Android 14 OTA without issues. It’s unclear whether this version addresses the bugs introduced in the earlier release, but early feedback has been positive, with no new reports of bricked devices. Ergo, owners of the Onn 4K Pro, Onn 4K, and Onn Stick can all install this build without fear of any significant issues.
