New TCL SQD-Mini LED TVs with up to 288Hz now available

TCL is now selling the QM7L and QM8L SQD-Mini LED 4K Smart TVs in the US. These new models were unveiled earlier this year at CES 2026. It is worth noting that they are referred to as the C7L and the C8L in Europe.
You can now buy the TCL QM7L TV at the brand’s online store and via its Amazon storefront in the US. The smaller 55”, 65” and 75” models are priced at $1,199.99, $1,499.99 and $1,999.99, respectively. The larger 86” and 98” variants have RRPs of $2,499.99 and $3,999.99, respectively.
In the US, the TCL QM8L TVs sit above the QM7L, with higher prices to match. This range starts with a 65” model, costing $2,499.99. There are also three larger options: a 75” TV for $2,999.99, an 85” TV for $3,999.99 and a 98” TV for $5,999.99.
TCL’s QM7L SQD-Mini LED 4K TV is said to deliver up to 3,000 nits brightness, with 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space. This model has a native 144Hz refresh rate, though this can be artificially boosted to 288Hz with the Game Accelerator tool. Users can access various streaming apps via the Google TV interface, and this model is also compatible with Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and AMD FreeSync.
The QM8L is an upgraded SQD-Mini LED 4K TV, with a higher maximum brightness level of 6,000 nits. It offers more than 4,000 Local Dimming Zones, and also covers 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut. Like the QM7L, it has a 144Hz native refresh rate, and gaming features like Game Accelerator VRR, AMD FreeSync and HDMI 2.1 ports. Again, it uses Google TV and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
