Ugreen releasing new upgraded Nexode power bank

A new version of the Ugreen Nexode Magnetic Power Bank Qi2 15W 10000mAh appears to be on the way. The original version of this accessory was released in various markets at the end of 2024.

Now, the Ugreen 10000mAh Magnetic Power Bank has appeared for a second time in the database of the Wireless Power Consortium. This organisation is responsible for the management of charging standards like Qi2. While the first version of the Ugreen power bank offered Qi2.0, the “v2” model will use Qi2.1. There are said to be several advantages of this newer version of the technology, such as lower heat generation, reduced device misalignment, and more efficient power transfer.

Despite the upgrade from Qi2.0 to Qi2.1, the maximum wireless charging output of the Ugreen 10000mAh Magnetic Power Bank remains at 15W. The other specifications and the design of this accessory also appear to be identical to the original model. As well as wireless charging, the power bank offers 20W wired charging via a USB-C port, which is also used to recharge the 10,000 mAh capacity battery. According to the company, the power bank could be used to charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max 1.5 times, a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 1.4 times or an iPad Mini 1.2 times. There is a button-activated trickle charging mode, and various safety features like protection against overcurrent and overvoltage. It measures 4.1 x 2.7 x 0.8 inches (~104 x 69 x 20 mm) and weighs 7.7 oz (~218 g).

It is unclear when the new version of the Ugreen Nexode Magnetic Power Bank Qi2 15W 10000mAh will be released, and how much it will cost. For reference, the original version launched with a $49.99 RRP (curr. $37.91 for Prime Members at Amazon).
