Xiaomi launching new smart door lock with nine ways to unlock

The Xiaomi Smart Door Lock G100 is on the way. This unreleased smart home product has been spotted on the brand’s Youpin platform in China, where it is listed with model number XMZNMST12LK.
Xiaomi’s Smart Door Lock G100 allows users to unlock their front door without a key. There are a total of nine unlocking methods, including a fingerprint scanner with a 99.29% recognition rate. Other options are a keypad for permanent or temporary passcodes, an NFC reader for a compatible phone, watch or card, and remote unlocking from a smartphone via Bluetooth. There is also a physical backup key in case of emergencies.
The Smart Door Lock G110 supports Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Users can remotely manage the smart lock via the brand’s app, through which they can receive alerts when the door is left open or the lock is tampered with. The device is powered by four AA batteries, with an expected runtime of 12 months, and there is a USB-C port which can be used for emergency power. Plus, the lock has a wide operating temperature range of -25 to 55°C (~-13 to 131°F).
In China, the Xiaomi Smart Door Lock G100 will retail for CNY 1,099 (~$160). Whether or when this product could be released in Europe is unclear. In this market, the brand already sells devices like the Self-Install Smart Lock (curr. €119.99 at Xiaomi Store ES).
