New TCL Q9M Pro SQD-Mini LED TV with up to 300Hz arrives

The TCL Q9M Pro SQD-Mini LED TV has been launched in China. This new model arrives alongside the Max163M and Max163M Pro TVs. It is a follow-up to the older Q9L Pro QD-Mini LED TV, which launched in this market in 2025. Customers will be able to choose between five sizes: 55”, 65”, 75”, 85” and 98”.
TCL’s Q9M Pro is a 4K TV with a higher native refresh rate of 150 Hz, which can be boosted to 300 Hz. Compared to the Q9L Pro, the new Q9M Pro offers enhanced colors, with 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space. The 55” model has 800 dimming zones, while the 98” variant has 3,552 zones, and the peak brightness of this model is 5,000 nits (XDR), an increase from the 4,500 nits (XDR) of its predecessor. Other features include MEMC motion smoothing and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
According to the product listing, the TCL Q9M Pro uses the brand’s own Spirit Control System 3.0. Plus, it has the same integrated 2.2.1 sound system from Onkyo as the Q9L Pro. Ports include four HDMI 2.1, and it also supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
In China, the TCL Q9M Pro SQD-Mini LED TV starts from CNY 6,199 (~$891) for the 55” model, going up to CNY 19,999 (~$2,875) for the 98” version. The company has yet to announce any plans to bring this model to other markets like the US, where it is selling the 2026 X11L QD-Mini LED TV (85” curr. $7,998 at Amazon).
