TCL reveals new ultra-flagship 163” Micro LED TV

TCL has unveiled two new 163” Micro LED TVs in China: the Max163M and the Max163M Pro. These are not the first screens of this size from the brand, which introduced the 163” X11H Max in China in 2024.
The TCL Max163M is a new flagship 4K TV with a 163” screen. It is said to deliver 10,000 nits XDR brightness and cover 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut. The screen has an ultra-low reflection rate and is housed in a slim body. This model uses TCL’s Spirit Control System 3.0 software, providing access to streaming apps. Plus, there are a range of ports, including four HDMI 2.1, one USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
According to TCL, the “ultra-flagship” Max163M Pro shares many features with the standard Max163M. However, it is said to offer over 10,000 nits of brightness (XDR). Plus, it is listed with a higher refresh rate of 4K@120Hz; the refresh rate of the regular Max163M has yet to be announced.
In China, the TCL Max163M 163” Micro LED TV will retail for CNY 249,999 (~$35,900), while the TCL Max163M Pro 163” Micro LED TV will be priced at CNY 349,999 (~$50,300). The company has yet to announce plans to release these large TVs in other markets like the US, where you can already buy models like the 115” QM89 QLED 4K Smart QD-Mini LED TV (curr. $17,997.99 at Amazon Marketplace).
