Casio's new Vintage AQ-240E watches with slim digital displays go official

Alongside the new Vintage AE159 models, Casio has also officially listed its new AQ-240E series models in the US. The three models - AQ-240E-2A, AQ-240E-4A, and AQ-240E-7A2 - are part of the Vintage range as well and are scheduled for April 2026. We had earlier leaks surrounding the hybrid analog-digital lineup.
All three watches use soft pastel dials: a light blue sunburst finish on the 2A, a matte orange tone on the 4A, and a muted off-white look on the 7A2. The layout remains the same across models, with two analog hands and a narrow digital display at 6 o’clock. The case measures 40.9 × 35.8 × 8.1 mm and weighs around 51 grams. It uses a chrome-plated resin construction paired with a stainless steel bracelet. The design comprises a rounded square shape, which gives it a softer look compared to sharper vintage Casio cases.
These watches run on Module 5154. Features include dual time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, daily alarm, hourly signal, and a full auto calendar. The digital display handles secondary functions, while the analog hands is the primary timekeeping element. Accuracy is rated at ±30 seconds per month.
Battery life is listed at around three years, slightly higher than earlier estimates. Water resistance is as basic as it gets - Casio doesn't even include the rating on its website, so at the least, we can expect it to be suitable for everyday use but for heavy exposure.
Also, pricing for the three models hasn’t been explicitly mentioned on the US listing page, but earlier data placed these around the $60 range, in line with existing AQ-240E models rather than a premium price point.
