AYN's Odin 2 Portal is still discounted, starting at $249

In late January, when AYN announced the discontinuation of the Odin 2 handheld, it also announced a temporary price reduction for the Odin 2 Portal. It turns out that the discount is still available, and it might as well be a permanent reduction.

When it announced the discount in January, it was supposed to run until February 25. Surprisingly, the Odin 2 Portal is still available at that discounted price. This is amazing news considering the recent spate of bad news from handheld manufacturers.

The Odin 2 Portal has a 7-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the same chipset inside the Retroid Pocket 6. The Android 13 handheld packs an 8,000mAh battery and has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, an active cooling fan, and a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4.

Available in Base, Pro, and Max, all with different RAM and storage configurations, the Odin 2 Portal is worth buying, especially the base model which has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and costs $249. That makes it just $5 more expensive than the new price of the Retroid Pocket 6. Considering you are getting a larger display and a bigger battery, that price difference cancels out.
