Ayaneo issues notice about discontinuation and price increase of its handhelds

Over the past few weeks, handheld manufacturers have announced changes to their product lineup due to the rising cost of components. In some cases, the manufacturers have had to raise prices of some models, while for some others, they chose to suspend production. Unfortunately, the string of bad news isn't over as Ayaneo has released a statement alerting its customers of an impending price increase as well as the discontinuation of some others.

According to a post on its Discord channel, Ayaneo says the prices of several of its products will rise soon. The post also mentions that some models may be temporarily discontinued once the current inventory finishes. Ayaneo has provided a list of the devices that will be affected by these changes, and they include models that were released this year.

The Pocket Vert was first revealed in late July 2025, but it wasn't until the end of December that it was finally available to pre-order on Indiegogo. The crowdfunding campaign ended earlier than planned and the sale of the handheld was moved to its website. Now Ayaneo says that only limited stock is available, which means once it is out of stock, it will no longer be available for purchase.

The Pocket S Mini, on the other hand, was first announced in September 2026, but didn't get released until late January 2026, so it has been available to buy for roughly two months. Unfortunately, like the Pocket Vert, no new units are being produced and only a limited stock is available to buy now

In addition, Ayaneo has revealed that the free Pocket Air Mini compensation it is offering buyers of the Pocket S Mini as a result of the reduced battery capacity, will end on Wednesday, April 1.

The dual-screen Android-powered Pocket DS was first available to pre-order in August 2025. Ayaneo is currently accepting another batch of pre-orders, which it says has just about 200 units and will begin to ship in mid-April. However, it says it is uncertain more units will be produced once this batch is sold out.

The Konkr Pocket Fit launched as the first product under Ayaneo's new line of affordable handhelds. It was announced in two versions - one with a Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 and another with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. While the former has already shipped to buyers, the Snapdragon 8 Elite version has faced delays and just began shipping to backers.

Now, Ayaneo says once it fulfills all orders of the Snapdragon 8 Elite version, it will relaunch the handhelds in phases. As at the time of writing, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version is no longer available to purchase on Ayaneo's website.

The Konkr Fit is the first Windows-powered handheld under the Konkr brand. Announced earlier this year, it is currently available to pre-order, with shipping expected to begin at the end of April. Ayaneo previously announced that available units will be limited to just 200, but now it says that production will be limited and based on actual order volume.

Ayaneo hasn't provided any details about its other handhelds such as the Pocket Air Mini (available on Amazon for $119.99)  and the Pocket DMG. Chances are that these models will receive a price increase in the near future.
