New videos have offered up fresh information about Anbernic's next gaming handheld. One video also teases that the device could launch as the Anbernic RG Rotate. The handheld supports MP3 player functionality and apparently has enough power to emulate Nintendo 64 games, too.

New footage of what may be Anbernic's next gaming handheld has emerged online. Its second with a sliding display mechanism after last year's RG Slide (curr. $174.99 on Amazon), the unnamed device initially surfaced in mid-March. Hence, these videos are not an elaborate April Fools' hoax

While a release date remains unknown for now, Handheld Penguin has shared new videos on Bilibili. Embedded below, the new footage reveals a few more details about the device than were visible in last month's video. For instance, a top-mounted USB Type-C port is visible, as are in-line triggers and a microSD card slot.

The inclusion of a built-in MP3 player suggests that Anbernic has included a 3.5 mm jack, too. Potentially, this could be on the device's right-hand side, although this is not shown in either video. Moreover, the new footage indicates that Anbernic will advertise the handheld as being capable of running up to Nintendo 64 games.

By the looks of things, Anbernic may release the handheld as the RG Rotate. A metal shell appears to be on the cards as well alongside a black plastic alternative. Presumably, Anbernic will officially unveil the device later this month.
