Pocket S Mini: New pocketable gaming handheld released with up to 16 GB RAM

The Pocket S Mini is Ayaneo's latest Snapdragon G3x Gen 2-powered handheld after the Pocket Ace, Pocket DS, Pocket DMG, Pocket Evo and Pocket S before it (curr. $479.99 on Amazon). In short, the Pocket S Mini is the smallest of the bunch at 167 x 78 x 18.5 mm and 305 g. Nonetheless, the new handheld features a 6,000 mAh battery, an active cooling solution and Hall effect controls.
Additionally, Ayaneo equips the Pocket S Mini with a 4.2-inch display with a 1,280 x 960-pixel native resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. There is no information about peak brightness values, though. Regardless, the Pocket S Mini also finds itself with LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 8,533 MT/s and UFS 4.0 flash storage or UFS 3.1 flash storage with 128 GB SKUs.

The Pocket S Mini starts at $319 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Also, Ayaneo offers its latest handheld with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in the same Ice Soul White and Obsidian Black colour options for $20 extra. Alternatively, the company sells a Retro Power finish featuring 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for $479.
Ayaneo stresses that the Pocket S Mini is in stock from today with no pre-order period. On top of that, orders placed before February 10 will ship by February 12, with Chinese New Year delaying subsequent shipments until February 26 at the earliest.
