Pocket Max: Mangmi confirms release details for new $199 gaming handheld

Mangmi has finally revealed the launch date and pricing for its long-awaited Pocket Max handheld. First teased almost two months ago, the Pocket Max promises to surpass the existing Air X in multiple areas.
For instance, the Pocket Max swaps the Snapdragon 662 found in the Air X for a Snapdragon 865. According to our benchmarks, the Snapdragon 865 should make the Pocket Max over twice as powerful as the Air X. The Pocket Max also features a 60% larger battery than the Air X that should deliver an 8,000 mAh typical capacity out of the box.

Moreover, the Pocket Max finds itself with a 7-inch OLED display that combines a 1080p resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 800% nits peak brightness. In that sense, the Pocket Max rivals other high-end Android gaming handhelds like the Ayaneo Pocket Evo and the Ayn Odin2 Portal (curr. $459 on Amazon).
However, the Pocket Max will start at just $199.99. Priced with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the Pocket Max will go on sale at 02:00 UTC on February 6. Please note that prices will rise to $239.99 on February 12. Please see Mangmi's website for more details.
