Pocket Max: Mangmi releases powerful Android gaming handheld with 144 Hz AMOLED display

Mangmi has officially released the Pocket Max globally. Its latest Android-based gaming handheld, the Pocket Max follows the Air X that Mangmi started selling in October 2025 (curr. $159.99 on Amazon). However, the former targets large Android handhelds like the Ayaneo Pocket Evo and Ayn Odin2 Portal.
Mangmi equips the Pocket Max with a 7-inch OLED display just like the Pocket Evo and Odin2 Portal before it. Additionally, the panel outputs at 1,920 × 1,080 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio with 800 nits peak brightness and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Also, the Pocket Max contains an 8,000 mAh battery with support for 27 W wired charging.
Other highlights include TMR joysticks, Hall effect triggers and modular controller modules like the Ayaneo 3. A Snapdragon 865 chipset should make the Pocket Max over twice as powerful as the Air X, too. Nonetheless, the Pocket Max starts at $199.99 with free magnetic d-pad and ABXY modules bundled. Equipped with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and a choice of three colours, the Pocket Max will rise to $239.99 once this early bird period ends on February 12.
