AYN Odin2 Portal released as new OLED gaming handheld with large battery and 120 Hz display for $299
AYN Technologies has now released the Odin2 Portal, which is available to back on Indiegogo. For context, the Odin2 Portal is the third release in the Odin2 series after the Odin2 (curr. $449 on Amazon) and Odin2 Mini. In short, the Odin2 Portal contains the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset as its Odin2 siblings.
However, it seems that the Odin2 Portal can operate at a higher 27 W TDP. Moreover, AYN's latest gaming handheld has an 8,000 mAh battery like the Odin2, rather than a 5,000 mAh battery like the Odin2 Mini. On top of that, AYN has equipped the Odin2 Portal with a 7-inch OLED display that outputs at 1080p, 120 Hz and with 800 nits peak brightness.
Currently, the Odin2 Portal starts at $299 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device can be configured with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage or 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for $379 and $479, respectively. Please note that will eventually rise between $20 and $30 once AYN Technologies stops selling Super Early Bird prices. As it stands, all Indiegogo orders should start shipping in December 2024.
