Retroid has now re-released the Pocket 6, a week after the device's initial debut. To recap, the company initially introduced the Pocket 6 alongside the Pocket G2 with a different design from those shown below. Owing to apparent community dissatisfaction, Retroid pulled Pocket 6 pre-orders to improve the Pocket 6's front design and overall ergonomics.
Now, the Pocket 6 has returned in two designs and five colours. Still powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset used in the Odin 2, Odin 2 Mini and Odin 2 Portal (curr. $359 on Amazon), the Pocket 6 also features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 flash storage and a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 27 W wired charging. On top of that, all Pocket 6 SKUs contain Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity with a USB 3.1 Type-C port capable of outputting to an external monitor at 4K and 60 Hz.
Also, the Pocket 6 measures 205.5 x 80.5 x 17.2 mm regardless of which version you opt for. Officially, the primary difference between the two variants lies in their d-pad and left joystick placements. As the image above shows, the two models look visually identical save for swapping their d-pads and left joysticks around.
Both Pocket 6 variants start at $209 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the pair can be picked up for $259 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Currently, Retroid anticipates shipping pre-orders at the beginning of January 2026. Please see the company's website for more details.
