OneXPlayer launched the OneXFly Apex in China as a GPD Win 5 rival with a more affordable launch price in the Chinese market. At the initial launch, the brand teased that the new AMD Strix Halo gaming handheld would make it to the global market soon, and now, the international debut date has been revealed.
The OneXFly Apex will launch on Indiegogo on November 09, 2025, and the company has shared when the gaming handheld will be available for pre-order in different parts of the world (chart attached at the end). There's no word on the international price yet, but it's worth noting that GPD Win 5 has also made a global debut through Indiegogo.
GPD's AMD Strix Halo gaming handheld started at $1,448 on Indiegogo, while the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 variant had a starting pre-order price tag of $1,650. The OneXFly Apex is expected to cost a little lower than the GPD 5, given the price difference in China, but it's likely to be more expensive than the Xbox ROG Ally X (non-X available on Amazon).
For those who missed our Chinese launch coverage, the OneXFly Apex is available with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and AI Max 385 APUs. These two models feature the Radeon 8050S and Radeon 8060S iGPUs, respectively, which are currently the most powerful integrated GPUs on the market.
This new AMD Strix Halo gaming handheld has an 8-inch VRR display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the water-cooled variant can offer 120 W of performance. Check out our previous coverage to learn more about the OneXFly Apex.
