Earlier today, a new AMD Strix Halo APU appeared on the benchmarking website PassMark. As we covered separately, the Ryzen AI Max+ 388 is an 8-core and 16-thread alternative to the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 that now underpins numerous high-end mini-PCs and other devices like the GMKtec EVO-X2 (curr. $1,699 on Amazon).
Spotted by Moore's Law is Dead, the leak also mentioned the existence of a Ryzen AI Max 392, albeit without elaborating further. As VideoCardz subsequently noted, the model number associated with the PassMark listing is a forthcoming device produced by Sixunited.
To recap, Sixunited showcased numerous AMD Strix Halo-powered devices last month, including the AXA33 all-in-one system. Additionally, it mentioned the AXN77B-160M-CS again, a 16-inch laptop that paired Strix Halo APUs with a 99.99 Wh battery and a 165 Hz OLED display that debuted over the summer.
On top of that, the company presented the APXP77-140H-SCD, which PassMark abbreviated to SU AXP77. In the same press release, Sixunited also detailed the Ryzen AI Max+ 392. As the photo above shows, this second unreleased variant sits between the existing Ryzen AI Max 390 and Ryzen AI Max+ 395 by adopting the 12-core and 76 MB cache of the former but with the Radeon 8060S iGPU exclusively found in the latter for the time being. Incidentally, it seems that this Ryzen AI Max+ 392 variant could soon be available in a Sixunited 2-in-1, full details of which we have provided separately.
