Hardly any time has passed since MagicX unveiled a new device, despite not yet releasing the One Retro 45 yet either. As we have discussed previously, the One Retro 45 has Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn emulation. By contrast, the One Flip 50 rivals the Retroid Pocket Flip 2 (curr. $269.99 on Amazon) as a clamshell option without a secondary display.
Now, MagicX has confirmed that it has Nintendo DS and 3DS emulation in its sights with what it is currently calling the Two DS 46. Based on a community Discord post, Two DS 46 may not be the handheld's final name. Likewise, MagicX has presented two designs at this stage, both of which we have embedded below. To reiterate the indecision at this stage, the company has even included a poll asking fans which design they prefer. At this stage, neither design appears to be more popular than the other, either.
Currently, MagicX is imagining the Two DS 46 as either an upgraded Zero 40 or a Nintendo 2DS lookalike. To that end, the company is targeting circa 90% of Nintendo 3DS games being playable at a 2x resolution or higher. As a result, the Two DS 46 should be considerably more powerful than the forthcoming Anbernic RG DS, which appears limited to Nintendo DS games rather than 3DS equivalents. Pricing and availability for the Two DS 46 remain unknown for now though, as do specifications bar having a 4.58-inch display that can emulate 3.42-inch top and 2.93-inch bottom displays.
