MagicX has only recently got its One 35 gaming handheld out the door after refreshing the Zero 40 with a translucent green option in late September (curr. $89.99 on Amazon). Nonetheless, the company has now unveiled the One Flip 50, a new clamshell option and its second gaming handheld in as many weeks after detailing the One Retro 45 earlier this month.
According to MagicX, the One Flip 50 utilises the same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset as the One 35 and One Retro 45. Sporting two ARM Cortex-A75 CPU cores, six Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU, the Helio G85 will work with 4 GB of RAM and a 5-inch display that outputs at 1080p in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, the One Flip 50 will come with just 64 GB of built-in storage, although a microSD card reader can be made out on the mock-ups that MagicX has shared on its Discord channel.
Moreover, the handheld has in-line shoulder buttons, silicone ABXY buttons and a silicone d-pad, for better or worse. Despite a release date remaining unknown for now, MagicX hopes to sell the One Flip 50 for around $95. Overall, the One Flip 50 appears to be MagicX's attempt at undercutting the Retroid Pocket Flip 2 while also capitalising on the recent clamshell gaming handheld trend.
