Asus has now started selling its first 720 Hz OLED gaming monitor after unveiling it over the summer. To recap, the company presented the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W during Gamescom 2025 alongside the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG and the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen 2 that it has since renamed as the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMGR.
While those pair are not available anywhere yet, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W can now be picked up in China for CNY 8,499 (~$1,197) before applying a launch coupon to bring its price down to CNY 7,998 (~$1,127). As we have discussed previously, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W utilises LG Display's 4th Gen W-OLED panel technology, which outputs at 1440p and 540 Hz by default.
In that sense, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W rivals recent 1440p and 500 Hz QD-OLED gaming monitors like the Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF (curr. $812 on Amazon). However, Asus' latest gaming monitor can also boost its refresh rate to 720 Hz by cutting its resolution to 720p.
Moreover, LG Display's new panel technology allows the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W to hit 1,500 nits peak brightness with 99.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification. Also, the monitor boasts 0.02 ms GtG response times and an 80 Gbps-capable DisplayPort 2.1 connection. Unfortunately, launch dates and pricing for other markets remain unknown. More details about the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W can now be found on Asus' global website, though.
