Asus has expanded the ROG Swift series with a new model after releasing the PG32UCDMR a few months ago to replace the older PG32UCDM (curr. $999.99 on Amazon). This time, the company has presented the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, a 27-inch option that also showcases LG's long-teased 540 Hz WOLED panel technology.
Officially the world's fastest OLED display panel by 40 Hz, the 4th Gen Tandem panel, has LG's Dual Mode technology up its sleeve too. As a result, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W can drop its resolution from 1440p to 720p, which then allows it to hit 720 Hz as needed.
Moreover, Asus' latest monitor features a TrueBlack Glossy coating just like the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG and XG32UCWMG before it. Theoretically, this should combine with LG's new panel technology to deliver brighter and richer visuals. However, neither Asus nor LG have shared specifics in this area yet.
Instead, Asus has focused on connectivity, such as a DisplayPort 2.1a port that supports the UHBR20 standard with 80 Gbps bandwidth at its disposal. Also, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W finds itself with HDMI 2.1 for use with modern consoles. As usual, Asus' new monitor integrates OLED Care Pro technologies and its Neo Proximity sensor too. Unfortunately, pricing and availability remain unknown for now.
