Gigabyte has quietly started selling its first 500 Hz OLED gaming monitor internationally after releasing it in China earlier this summer. To recap, the company claimed that the Aorus FO27Q5P would be available in July. As it turned out, the Aorus FO27Q5P actually landed in China towards the end of June alongside the comparably-equipped Philips Evnia 27M2N8500X.
Now, the Aorus FO27Q5P has landed across several Eurozone retailers for as little as €999 (~$1,165). For reference, the Aorus FO27Q5P leverages the same QD-OLED panel inside the Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF, which it recently launched in the US (curr. $999.99 on Amazon). Spanning 27-inches diagonally, the QD-OLED panel combines a 1440p native resolution with a 500 Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits (APL 3%) peak HDR brightness. Moreover, Gigabyte includes the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm headphone jack
- 1x 3.5 mm microphone jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (output)
- 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20)
- 1x Mini DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20)
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB 3.2 Type-A (upstream)
- 1x USB 3.2 Type-B (upstream)
- 1x USB Type-C (Data/DP Alt Mode/18 W PD)
Currently, we have found listings in Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. However, there could well be more, although we were unable to find any relating to other markets like North America and the UK. Regardless, €999 would see the Aorus FO27Q5P price match the Asus ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG with which it shares the same QD-OLED panel. Please see Gigabyte's website for more details about the Aorus FO27Q5P.
