Digital Chat Station has weighed in on the configuration of Honor's Magic8 series. Reiterating a statement from earlier this summer, the leak believes that Honor has more up its sleeve than direct successors to the Magic7 and Magic7 Pro and the Magic7 RSR Porsche Design.
Apparently, Honor's flagship smartphone series is still on track to gain a compact addition that is currently thought of as the Magic8 Mini. Writing on Weibo, Digital Chat Station maintains that the Magic8 Mini will launch with a 6.3-inch display to rival the iPhone 16 Pro and Galaxy S25 (curr. $499.99 - renewed on Amazon), as well as the forthcoming Oppo Find X9 and Vivo X300. Reportedly, Honor's mini-branded flagship will be comparatively thin too, although this will cause Honor to compromise on battery capacity.
Nonetheless, the Magic8 Mini should outperform the iPhone 17 Air in this regard. Moreover, the inclusion of a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset should ensure that the Magic8 Mini is comparatively powerful as well. While Honor has launched previous Magic generations in October or November, MediaTek is expected to launch the Dimensity 9500 in late September. Therefore, we would not be surprised to see the Magic8 Mini launching in early rather than late autumn 2025.
