A few months have passed since the unveiling of the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50. Presented during Computex 2025 in Taiwan, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 is actually a rebrand of the MPG 272QR X50 that it showcased in January alongside the MPG 272URX QD-OLED (curr. $1,099 on Amazon). For reference, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 shares the same panel as the Asus ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG, Gigabyte Aorus FO27Q5P and the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF, among others.
Coinciding with Gamescom 2025, MSI has now added the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 to its global website. Theoretically, this should indicate that the company plans to offer its latest 27-inch gaming monitor in as many markets as the MPG 272URX QD-OLED. Unfortunately, MSI has not elaborated any further yet.
In lieu of that information, it has decided to confirm all hardware specifications instead. As the screenshots below show, MSI will complement Samsung Display's 500 Hz and 1440p QD-OLED panel with its OLED Care 3.0 and AI Care Sensor technologies to maximise panel lifespan. Moreover, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 is said to deliver 300 nits SDR peak brightness and 1,000 nits in HDR mode across small areas (3% APL).
Also, the monitor will come with DisplayPort 2.1a (UHBR20), HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C video inputs. Incidentally, the latter also supports 98 W Power Delivery, while a KVM switch links the port to the included USB Type-A and USB Type-B 5 Gbps ports. Please see the screenshots below and MSI's website for more information.
