At first glance, the KTC A25Q8 is a relatively inconspicuous monitor with a simple design, a space-saving stand, and a 24.5-inch display with resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The monitor is particularly interesting because it offers a very wide range of features for a price equivalent to $170.
KTC installs a total of four speakers, including two 8-watt woofers and two 4-watt tweeters. At an output power of 24 watts, the sound system is far more powerful than is typical for monitors. The 8 MP webcam with an ultra-wide-angle lens and microphone integrated into the frame can be used not only for video chats but also as a surveillance camera when the user is not at home. A plastic cover that can be slid over the lens is intended for user privacy.
The smart features are powered by a Rockchip RK3576S processor, which has four ARM Cortex-A72 performance cores and four Cortex-A53 efficiency cores. It also features 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage for apps and media storage. Android 14 allows for the easy accessibility of numerous streaming apps. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 6. Laptops and PCs are connected via USB-C.
