The brand new Realme 15,000 mAh was featured in a teaser video just a few days ago, and now Realme has officially unveiled the smartphone. However, this is only a concept smartphone, so it remains unclear whether or when the device will actually be launched.
At least according to information from leaker Digital Chat Station, the 15,000 mAh battery cannot yet be mass-produced, but Realme is said to have developed a 10,000 mAh battery that may already be in production. The video embedded below demonstrates the extremely long battery life that would be possible with a 15,000 mAh battery. Accordingly, users would supposedly be able to watch 25 movies or play games for 30 hours before the battery runs out, while a standby time of three months is said to be possible, at least in flight/airplane mode.
The Realme concept smartphone can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices via USB-C. No details about the battery technology have been revealed, but it is presumably a battery with a high silicon content, which significantly increases energy density but potentially results in a significantly shorter service life.
A first hands-on photo reveals some of the other specs. The concept smartphone features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of flash storage, and a 6.7-inch display. Despite its massive battery, the concept smartphone appears significantly thinner in the videos than, for example, the Blackview BV6200 Pro, which is equipped with a 13,000 mAh battery.
