Realme's next top-end Android smartphone might be more of a GT 8 Pro Max than an 8 Pro, according to the typically knowledgeable leaker Digital Chat Station.
The brand is now tipped to challenge other upcoming devices such as the Xiaomi 16 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra by upgrading its own next-gen Android flagship with a 200MP periscope zoom lens (a hallmark of most top-rated mobile photography behemoths worldwide).
The cutting-edge telephoto lens might come in a camera hump emblazoned with the logo of a leading cinematography brand for the first time.
A number of them (namely Leica, Hasselblad and Zeiss) are already taken, although this new tip might re-charge rumors that Realme could partner with Kodak for that purpose all over again.
Then again, the brand is also said to have next-gen Hyper Vision in-house camera tuning in the works, which might even have its own dedicated image co-processor.
The GT 8-series flagship is also backed to launch with a high-end 2K display that might be sustained with a 7,000mAh battery and driven by the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (or Gen 5?) processor, not to mention what might be the industry's best speakers, later in 2025.
