Realme 15T: New affordable smartphone reaches India with Dimensity 6400 SoC and 7,000 mAh battery
Realme has added a third member to its Realme 15 series, the Realme 15T, a direct successor to the Realme 14T. While the phone may not seem much different from the front, the back has seen a major overhaul. The company’s new budget-range smartphone features an iPhone 16 Pro-like (curr. at $879.99 on Amazon) rear camera design, sporting a 50 MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies, you’ll find a 50 MP camera on the front.
Under the hood, the 5G-enabled smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor paired with 8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB storage. The battery capacity of the device is bigger than before, featuring a large 7,000 mAh battery, a step up from the 6,000 mAh of the 14T. However, it supports 60 W wired charging instead of the 80 W speeds of its siblings.
This time around, Realme has slightly slashed the display size of the 15T smartphone. It sports a 6.57-inch AMOLED display (a step down from the 6.67-inch of the 14T) that delivers 2372 x 1080 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Dimensionally, it’s slimmer and lighter than before.
The device measures 158.3 x 75.19 x 7.79 mm (6.23 x 2.96 x 0.30 inches) and weighs around 181 grams (0.39 lbs). The rest of the highlights include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, IP66/68/69 ingress protection, Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, up to 14 GB of dynamic RAM, and dual speakers with OReality audio.
Buyers can choose from flowing silver, suit titanium, and silk blue color options. The Realme 15T is priced at INR 18,999 ($215) for the base 8 GB + 128 GB trim, while the 8 GB + 256 GB model costs INR 22,999 ($260). It will be available for sale from September 6 in India via Realme’s official website.
