The Honor Play10C launched a month ago. Now, Honor has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone in its Play series, the Play10 4G. The 4G version is powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset coupled with up to 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card.
On the front, the Honor Play10 4G sports a 6.74-inch LCD display with 1600 x 720 px resolution. Dimensionally, the device measures 167.7 x 77.7 x 8.55 mm (6.60 x 3.05 x 0.33 inches) and weighs around 189 grams (0.41 lbs). Speaking of lenses, it has a 5 MP camera on the front and a 13 MP camera at the back for capturing selfies and video chats.
Another highlight of this new affordable phone is the 5,000 mAh battery. According to the company, it supports 10 W wired charging (Anker Nano Pro 20 W USB-C charger curr. at $13.99 on Amazon). Other features of the Play10 4G include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a fingerprint reader, IP52 ingress protection, WiFi 5 (ac), and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity support. Regarding software, the 4G-enabled smartphone comes pre-installed with the Android Go edition, and there's no word on software support from the brand, indicating software updates may never arrive.
Buyers can choose from ocean cyan, starry purple, and midnight black color options. The company hasn’t yet revealed pricing and availability details for the Honor Play10 4G variant.
