It looks like the launch of Sony's next Xperia smartphone could be right around the corner. To recap, a smattering of Xperia 10 VII-related leaks have emerged online in the last few months. Now, Sumaho Digest claims to have observed that XtraMall posted detailed Xperia 10 VII specifications and render images before quickly taking them down.
Reportedly, Sony has equipped the Xperia 10 VII with a 6.1-inch OLED display that outputs at 1080p. Sat within a 153 x 72 x 83 mm housing that allegedly weighs 169 g, the display also has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio rather than the 21:9 aspect ratio offered by its predecessor. As a result, the Xperia 10 VII is said to be about 4 mm wider than the Xperia 10 VI while being 2 mm shorter too.
Moreover, the Xperia 10 VII features a 5,000 mAh battery and a new camera array consisting of 50 MP primary and 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensors. Conversely, this year's Xperia 10 is expected to retain last year's 8 MP front-facing camera. On top of that, the XtraMall listing indicates that the Xperia 10 jumps from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, which leaked Geekbench listings underline.
Shared with the Moto G75 and Galaxy A36 (curr. $399 on Amazon), the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 helps the Xperia 10 VII outperform its predecessor by 8% in single-core tasks and less than 1% in multi-core tasks. Conversely, the Xperia 10 VII achieves 58% higher OpenCL scores from its Adreno 710 GPU. A release date for Sony's next mid-range smartphone has escaped leaks for now, though, as has launch pricing.
