Vivo has shared new information about its upcoming X300 Pro flagship before its autumn launch. Now confirmed to feature dual 200 MP Zeiss cameras, the Vivo X300 Pro will also be sub-8 mm thick in another major change from last year's model.

Vivo executive Han Bo Xiao has stepped up his X300 series teaser campaign with more information about the company's forthcoming flagships. For context, the executive has already provided looks at the displays of both the X300 and X300 Pro.

Writing on Weibo, Han Bo Xiao emphasises that the X300 series features 'dual 200 MP Zeiss cameras'. Based on current thinking, this statement applies to the X300 Pro rather than the cheaper X300 too. To that end, the same executive claims that Vivo has installed a 'larger 200 MP module' to complement the existing 200 MP telephoto camera. Moreover, the latter has also been improved with a 'more powerful' periscope lens.

These cameras will be joined by an upgraded 6.78-inch AMOLED display too, details of which we have covered separately. Han Bo Xiao adds that this year's Pro model will be thinner than the X200 and X200 Pro with a sub-8 mm thick housing. While not as thin as Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge (curr. $649 - renewed on Amazon), the X300 Pro will be 7.xx mm thick excluding its camera housing. At this stage, it remains to be seen whether the X300 Pro will join the X300 in featuring an ultra-slim camera housing, though.
