The launch of the Vivo X300 series appears to be about a month away. To that end, Vivo has just confirmed that it will be attending the launch of Central China's first Vivo Humanistic Imaging Gallery in October. While Vivo has not indicated whether this relates to its next flagship smartphones, a company executive has shared more information about the X300 in a recent Weibo post.
So far, the same executive implied that the Vivo X300 will be about the same size as the iPhone 16 Pro (curr. $742 - refurbished on Amazon) but with thinner display bezels. Now, Han Bo Xiao has revealed that Vivo has adopted 'cold-carving' or 'cold-sculpting' technology, which Oppo used earlier this year on the Reno13's back glass.
Although Oppo stressed that it used this technology to create a 'premium feel', Han Bo Xiao adds that it has helped Vivo make the X300 thinner than the X200. Given that the X300 Pro is set to drop below 8 mm in thickness, we suspect that the X300 will be even thinner. Moreover, the X300 will adopt a new camera housing that protrudes just 1.28 mm beyond its rear glass panel. To represent this, Han Bo Xiao has showcased the X300 from its side, which we have embedded above and below. Presumably, we will see more from the X300 and its bigger sibling in the coming days.
