Poco M7 Plus 5G gets a 4GB RAM version with a more affordable price tag

When the Poco M7 Plus was announced in August, it was released in two configurations — a base model with 6GB of RAM and a higher-priced variant with 8GB of RAM, both of which have 128GB of expandable storage. Poco has now announced that the smartphone will be getting a limited edition that has 4GB of RAM.

The announcement was made by Poco India on X, and according to the post, this version of the Poco M7 Plus will be priced under ₹11,000 (~$125/€106). For comparison, the 6GB RAM variant and 8GB RAM version cost ₹13,999 (~$159/€135) and ₹14,999 (~$169/€145) respectively at launch.

However, the wait for the price reveal isn't a long one, as Poco has announced that it will be disclosed on September 15 at 7 PM IST. Save for the smaller RAM, it appears the rest of the specs are the same.

The Poco M7 Plus has a 6.9-inch display with a FHD+ (2340 x 1080 resolution) and a 144Hz refresh rate. The LCD panel has a peak brightness of 800 nits, 288Hz touch sampling rate, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside the phone is a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor and a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 33W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging.

There are two cameras on the back, one of which is a 50MP f/1.8 camera. There's also an 8MP front-facing camera. Both cameras can record in 1080p at 30fps and have a bunch of features such as night mode and the ability to take photos with a voice command.

In addition, the Poco M7 Plus has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, an IR blaster, WI-Fi 5, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1, and an IP64 dust and water resistance rating. It ships with HyperOS 2 and will receive 2 generations of Android updates and 4 years of security updates

The Poco M7 Plus 4GB limited edition variant will be available to buy on Flipkart during the retailer's Big Billion Days festival which begins on September 23. It doesn't seem as if this variant will be available outside India, but the Poco M7, which has the same battery capacity and display, is currently available on Amazon.de for €149.90.
