Retroid only publicly unveiled its next gaming handhelds earlier today. Arriving with little to no fanfare, the company has moved away from the protracted teaser campaign that it employed earlier this year with the Pocket Classic and Pocket Flip 2 (curr. $269 on Amazon).
Instead, Retroid announced the Pocket 6 and Pocket G2 in full after posting a solitary and cryptic teaser last Monday. Now, the company has silently confirmed release dates for both handhelds. On top of that, it has now revealed that at least the Pocket 6 will not begin shipping for a while yet.
Specifically, Retroid will not be ready to start dispatching Pocket 6 pre-orders until January 2026 at the earliest. Meanwhile, the Pocket G2 will be sent out in two batches. As the image below shows, the latter's Black, GameCube and 16-bit options will begin shipping on October 29.
By contrast, its Turquoise and Yellow options will be held back until November 5. The Retroid Pocket 6 and Pocket G2 will be available to pre-order from October 28 at 01:00 UTC starting at $209 and $199, respectively.
