More than a month after we reported that Lenovo has a power bank specially made for the Legion Go handhelds, the accessory is now available to purchase. Officially known as the Lenovo Legion Go 65W 12800mAh Power Bank, the power bank seems to be exclusive to Lenovo's store and is available in limited quantities.
While several power banks are compatible with the Legion Go and Legion Go S handhelds, what makes Lenovo's own special is that it attaches magnetically and has a built-in kickstand. This kickstand comes in handy for the Legion Go S (available on Amazon for $685.99), which doesn't have one like the Legion Go and Legion Go 2.
The power bank comes with a magnetic iron plate that needs to be attached to the handheld. This plate then magnetically attaches to the power bank. Once attached, users will be able to lift the kickstand on the power bank and have the handheld sit on its own when placed on a flat surface. This is particularly useful if you want to use an external controller such as the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless with the Legion Go S for long gaming sessions.
The Lenovo Legion Go 65W 12800mAh Power Bank has a 12,800mAh capacity, an output of 65W, and an input of 45W. The power bank also has an integrated detachable USB-C cable and four LEDs that indicate the battery level. Lenovo says the power bank has overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, and overcurrent protection.
The Lenovo Legion Go 65W 12800mAh Power Bank is available to buy now from Lenovo for $79.99.
