After announcing new designs for the Retroid Pocket 6, Retroid is now ready to reopen pre-orders for the Android-powered gaming handheld. The handheld, which was first announced on October 27 and available to pre-order shortly after, had to have its product listing deactivated on October 29 following negative reactions to its original design.
Now that Retroid has announced two new designs for the Pocket 6, it is ready to begin accepting pre-orders. According to a post on its official website as well as via its X account, pre-orders for the Retroid Pocket 6 will begin at 9 PM EST and 9 AM BJT. The handheld will begin to ship in January, 2026.
The product page is already back up, and it shows the new designs. Buyers will be able to choose from five colors instead of six, as was the case with the original design. The green color from the first design is no longer available. The Retroid Pocket 6 will be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM versions, and users will be able to choose between having the D-Pad at the top or at the bottom for both configurations.
Regardless of the color, RAM variant, and D-Pad style, all Retroid Pocket 6 models will now have the two configurable buttons on the back. The rest of the specs, as well as pricing, remain unchanged.
