LG has finally confirmed release details for its long-awaited Tandem OLED gaming monitor. Pricing for the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B has emerged, too. LG's new monitor combines a 5K2K panel with up to 1,500 nits and a 330 Hz refresh rate as needed.

The UltraGear OLED 39GX950B has been a long time coming. Announced in December 2025, the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B was joined at the time by the UltraGear 27GM950B and the UltraGear 52G930B. Of those, only the latter has received an official release for the time being (curr. $1,999 on Amazon).

However, the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B is finally on the verge of being released itself. For instance, LG has listed the 39-inch monitor on its Canadian website. At the same time, ITHome reports that the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B will retail for CNY 14,999 (~$2,179) in China.

Previously, LG Japan hinted that pre-orders would open 'soon'. Now, it has confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B will be available to purchase on April 9 at 14:00 local time (05:00 UTC). Whether this release date applies elsewhere remains unknown for now, though.

To recap, LG had already confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B would output at 5,120 x 2,160 (5K2K) with a 165 Hz refresh rate. According to the company's Canadian website, the monitor can upscale content independently to 5K2K without putting any extra CPU or GPU strain on a device connected via its DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C ports. Alternatively, the monitor can double its refresh rate by dropping its resolution to 1080p (2,560 x 1,080). Additionally, the 1500R curved monitor was said to deliver 335 nits SDR and 1,500 nits HDR (APL 1.5%) peak brightness with 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
