Ultra-thin tablet with 12.3-inch OLED display gets teased ahead of official launch

Honor's MagicPad 3 Pro arrived late last year, boasting a beautiful 13.3-inch IPS display with an impressive resolution of 3,200 x 2,136 and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered tablet is quite the performance champion as well, featuring an iPad Pro-inspired ultra-slim enclosure.
OLED MagicPad 3 Pro: Even thinner than the iPad Pro
Unlike the iPad Pro, however, the MagicPad 3 Pro did not feature an option for an OLED display at launch. According to a set of recent teasers shared on Weibo, a new 12.3-inch variant of the Honor MagicPad 3 Pro tablet appears to be right around the corner, boasting an even slimmer chassis with an OLED display.
To be more specific, the MagicPad 3 Pro 13.3-inch measured in at around 5.73 mm thin, while the upcoming 12.3-inch OLED variant of the tablet has been confirmed to be only 4.82 mm thin. This makes it thinner than the Apple iPad Pro (currently $1,199 on Amazon), which is definitely quite an impressive feat. Those sensitive to OLED panels can rest easy, since 5820 Hz PWM dimming will be utilized.
The Weibo post also revealed that the OLED MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3-inch tablet will weigh in at just 440 grams, or around 14.11 ounces. The overall design of the tablet appears to be identical to the IPS-equipped variant, with dual cameras in the rear and ultra-thin bezels at the front. Other details regarding the tablet are yet to be revealed, and the same goes for its pricing and availability.
