Oppo Pad Mini: Compact OLED tablet appears with Snapdragon 8-series chipset on Geekbench

A new Oppo device with model number 'OPD2515', expected to be the Oppo Pad Mini, has surfaced on Geekbench. For those unaware, the Oppo Pad Mini is the company's upcoming compact Android tablet, expected to launch on April 21 in China.
According to the listing, the Oppo Pad Mini is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and features 12GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is an octa-core chipset based on a 3nm process and is positioned below the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which powers the recently released Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5.
The Oppo Pad Mini scores 2,762 and 9,037 points in single-core and multi-core CPU tests, respectively. For comparison, the OnePlus Pad 3 (curr. $699 on Amazon) powered by the previous-generation flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite performs better in single-core by roughly 14%, while multi-core results remain broadly comparable, with a gap of about 3%.
The Geekbench listing also reveals the tablet runs Android 16. According to a recent leak, the Oppo Pad Mini will feature an 8.8-inch OLED panel with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It may also feature an 8,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Apart from the Pad Mini, the company is expected to introduce the Pad 5 Pro, a flagship tablet with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
