Xiaomi officially reveals new tablet with 9.7-inch 2K display

The Redmi K Pad 2 was recently revealed with an 8.8-inch display and flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. Now the company has also confirmed another upcoming tablet, the Redmi Pad 2 SE. The device is expected to be a more affordable offering and is set to launch later this month in China.
The Redmi Pad 2 SE has a metal unibody build and comes in white and gray finishes. Additionally, the design language mirrors that of the Redmi K Pad that launched last year.
The tablet is confirmed to sport a 9.7-inch screen with 2K resolution. The company also claims the display will feature a high refresh rate and high brightness, though the exact specifications have not been revealed. Notably, the screen carries a TÜV Rheinland triple eye protection certification.
The tablet will feature a 7,600mAh battery, and the company claims the battery lasts up to 70.2 days on standby in internal lab testing. Other details, including the processor and pricing, remain undisclosed. Alongside the Pad 2 SE, the company will launch the Redmi K90 Max, a gaming-centric phone with a built-in fan.
