Tank Pad Ultra launches as waterproof tablet with 1,080p projector and 23,400 mAh battery

8849tech offers a better equipped Tank Pad Ultra alongside the older Tank Pad E ($442 on Amazon). The outdoor tablet has a robust, waterproof housing with a screw-on handle that can also be used as a stand. With a 23.6 millimeter thick body weighing 1.35 kilograms, the tablet is not particularly compact.
Among other things, 8849tech uses this space to install a huge 23,400 mAh battery, which can be charged via USB-C with up to 66 watts. The tablet can also be used as a power bank and charge smartphones with up to 10 watts. The Tank Pad Ultra offers a 10.95-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 ARM processor, which has four Cortex-A78 performance cores with boost clock speeds of up to 3.1 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.
It also offers 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory. The tablet has a 32 megapixel selfie camera, a 50 MP main camera and a 64 MP night vision camera, which is combined with four infrared LEDs. The tablet offers a range of unusual features, led by a DLP projector with autofocus, a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a brightness of 260 lumens. There is a large camping light on the back. A 5G modem with dual SIM slot, a microSD slot and a 3.5 mm headphone connection complete the package.
Pricing and availability
The 8849tech Tank Pad Ultra will be launched on April 10 and will then be available at via the manufacturer's website. Details on the price are not yet known.
