Durobo Krono with 6-inch e-ink touchscreen and smart dial launches for $279

Durobo Krono was already announced last July, but delivery was delayed by a few months. However, the compact E-Note is now available and can be purchased from Amazon for $279.99, either in black or white.
Durobo Krono does not have a modem, cameras or a speaker above the display, meaning that the device cannot replace a smartphone. Nevertheless, the E-Note should be comparatively versatile, as Android 15 including the Google Play Store not only provides a wide selection of e-book apps, it is also possible to install music streaming apps.
The minimalist user interface focuses on e-books, music and notes, but also offers access to an AI assistant. Durobo Krono is based on a 6.13-inch E Ink Carta 1200 display with a pixel density of 300 PPI. The display has a front light, the brightness of which can be adjusted using the Smart Dial on the left-hand side. When the Smart Dial is pressed, the recording of a voice memo or the AI assistant can be started directly.
Durobo Krono is based on an unnamed eight-core processor, which is supported by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory. The battery has a capacity of 3,950 mAh. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, microphones and a USB-C port round off the features of the 9.0 millimetre thick, 173 gram e-note.
