Along with the Magic8 Pro and Honor Watch 5 Pro, the company has also just unveiled the MagicPad 3 Pro. It is said to be one of the most powerful Android tablets on the market, equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash storage.
At a height of 5.73 millimeters, the MagicPad 3 Pro is almost as thin as the new Apple iPad Pro, but despite Qualcomm's new flagship chip, it is significantly cheaper, with prices starting at the equivalent of $534. To make this possible, Honor has cut corners on the display, among other things, and installed a 13.3-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3,200 x 2,136, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and a brightness of 1,100 nits.
The large display, combined with the tablet optimizations of Honor MagicOS 10, is designed to deliver a first-class multitasking user experience, as multiple app windows can be freely positioned like on a desktop. The 12,450 mAh battery can be charged via USB-C at up to 70 watts. The tablet has a 9 MP selfie camera and a 13 MP main camera. The Honor Magic Pencil 3 and a compatible keyboard case with trackpad are sold separately.
Price and availability
The Honor MagicPad 3 Pro will initially be launched in China, where the tablet with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage will be available for 3,799 yuan (approx. $533), while the top model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage will cost 4,699 yuan (approx. $660). Honor has not yet commented on a possible international launch.
