The Ulefone Tab A9 Pro is a new tablet that is now available via direct import from China for $127 on Banggood. This price does not include shipping, import fees and taxes, and prospective buyers should be aware that Chinese sellers rarely offer helpful customer service.
With that out of the way, the Tab A9 Pro is a rather simple and compact tablet. It weighs about 11.5 oz and features an 8.68-inch screen, which only has a relatively low resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels but a somewhat decent refresh rate of 90Hz. Ulefone explicitly promotes Widevine L1 certification, which means that media content from streaming services in HD quality is officially supported.
Furthermore, the MediaTek Helio G91 processor is not particularly fast, but it does sport a cellular modem for 4G LTE connectivity. Therefore, the Android tablet does not support 5G. A GNSS module with GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo is on board as well, so the Tab A9 Pro might be a suitable navigation system for older cars, for instance.
The SD card slot allows users to expand the relatively small internal mass storage with 128GB of capacity. The 4GB RAM is only virtually expandable, which doesn’t provide much practical value. The 8-inch tablet also features a front and a main camera on the back, and the Ulefone Tab A9 Pro runs on Android 15 right of of the box. However, the manufacturer probably won’t provide major OS software updates at all.
